Take a look at these miniatures that I found, I would imagine that they would make great gifts for your dad's office. They are made by a company called Authentic Models and the company says that their models are created with a piece of history and not just aesthetics... how's that for a conversation piece?

the miniature vessels are so hamptons/nantucket
would look good in a man's office or study. it would add that touch of whimsy yet well travelled feel. rich also comes into mind
